What You’ll Need to Register (Same-day or ahead of time)

To register to vote, you will be required to complete a Voter Registration Form provided by the City Clerk or supervisor of the checklist– at City Hall, or on election day at the polls.

You will need to provide proof of your identity, age, U.S. citizenship and domicile:

Identity and age:  A valid driver’s licence or non-driver ID from any state, a current US Passport or passport card, a US military ID card, or other government-issued photo ID.

US Citizenship: A US birth certificate, a US Passport or Passport card, naturalization documents. REAL-ID compliant ID IS NOT SUFFICIENT.

Domicile (primary residence address): NH driver’s license or ID card with your current address, NH motor vehicle registration with current address, lease or rental agreement, utility bill with current address, government-issued check or benefit statement with a current address.

If you have changed your name: you must also provide a document proving the legal name change, such as a marriage certificate or court order.

When and Where To Vote

Election Day is Tuesday, November 4, 7AM-7PM. Our polling location is Christ the King Church Parish Hall, 72 South Main St, but the entrance is off of Thorndike St. Follow the orange signs! There is a large parking lot on site and the polling location is ADA accessible.

Getting to the Polling Location

If you have a disability that makes it difficult to get to the poll, contact the City Clerk (contact info on the first page) about an absentee ballot, and/or go to the last page of this document for more details.

If you need a ride, contact me, Aislinn Kalob (Ward 6 City Council candidate) via text at 603-995-1171, or email at aislinn4concord@gmail.com. I am happy to help coordinate transportation ahead of or on Election Day.

Registering to Vote Before Election Day

You may register at the City Clerk’s office at City Hall (41 Green St), and the deadline to do so is Wednesday, October 22nd.  After that, just make sure your documents are in order and you can easily register at the poll on November 4th.

Registering to Vote On Election Day (Same-day Voter Registration)

It is easy to register at the polls on Election Day!  When you arrive at the poll, there will be a table to the right-hand side of the room, where you can sit and complete the Voter Registration Form. Remember to have your proof of identity, age, citizenship and proof of domicile as listed in the box on the first page of this document.

Absentee Ballots

Under certain circumstances, you may request an absentee ballot. To do so, go to City Hall and bring with you your voter registration documents as listed above (proof of age, identity, citizenship, and domicile).

Examples of reasons to request a ballot, including but not limited to: You will be out of town on election day; You have a religious observance that prevents you from voting in person; You have a physical disability/illness that prevents you from voting in person;  You have an employment commitment or must care for an adult or child during the entire time polls are open; You are a member of the Attorney General’s Address Confidentiality Program or are protected by a Domestic Violence Protective Order.
